A Journey That Started Quietly

My relationship with yoga began in silence. As a child, I would quietly sit beside my father while he practiced each morning. He never asked me to join, yet those moments became etched in my heart. His stillness had power. His breath, his movements they told me there was something sacred happening. I didn’t know it then, but those mornings planted the seed of what would grow into a lifelong passion.

And so, my yoga class was born.

This blog is my little corner of the internet where I’ll share what I’ve learned on my yoga journey not as a guru, but as someone just like you, trying to live better, feel better, and be better.

Feelings aren’t always loud. Sometimes they whisper through a glance, a silence, or a shared moment. We may live in different worlds, but our emotions speak the same language. Pain, love, peace, heaviness in heart they all travel as energy. Negative energy doesn’t just live in our minds it gets trapped in our bodies, in our muscles, our breath, our hearts. Through yoga, we create flow where there was once stagnation. The stillness of meditation, the depth of pranayama, the grace of each asana they all work together to clear emotional blockages. With every exhale, we let go a little more, and with every inhale, we invite light, clarity, and peace back in.

Don’t fake it. Don’t force it. Don’t shrink to fit in or stretch to be liked. Just be real. Feel what you feel. Show up as you not the edited version. People connect with honesty, not perfection. Yoga teaches this every day the breath doesn’t lie, the body doesn’t lie. So why should you? Being authentic is not easy, but it’s peaceful. And peace is better than approval.

Yoga is not a forceful act. Not to the body alone, but to the soul. There is no need to push, to prove, or to perform. The breath knows the way. The body remembers. Yoga is about allowing, allowing the energy to move, the pain to release, the heart to soften. It is a space where you stop fighting life, and start feeling it. You surrender not in weakness, but in deep trust that the universe within you is wiser than any outside noise. In that surrender, something shifts. You don’t become someone else. You become yourself, fully.

What My Classes Are Really About

We move gently. We breathe deeply. We rest completely. Here’s what we explore together:

• Simple postures to ease your body and mind

• Pranayama to calm anxiety and build energy

• Joint-friendly sequences for all ages

• Breathing and meditation to reduce stress

• Core strength and flexibility exercises for everyday life

• Mudras, yog nidra, and face yoga for holistic well-being

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga but feel unsure, let me tell you yoga doesn’t demand anything from you. It just asks you to show up. That’s it. Thank you for being here. I hope this space becomes something meaningful for you.

With Warm Regards
Smriti
